Hidden Talent

Some of you may not have known but this is Evie's hidden talent.  She has been able to do this as long as I can remember.  She may not be proud of it when she gets older... But you have to admit, that's talent! :)

I had an ENT appointment recently and the doctor came in the room and said hi and sat down next to Evie and asked "How are you".  Evie's response was "I have a booger".  He told her that she came to the right place for that and gave her a tissue.  Not at all what either of us expected!  Kids are so honest!

Turkey Hunt

Our city has an annual turkey hunt.  This year we decided to go for our first time.  The picture directly above is the family listening to the rules of the hunt.  Reuben ended up finding a magnet!!!  Yea Reuben!!Reuben with the magnet he found.  Below- Reuben with his prized turkey.

Science Center

We were able to go to the Great Lakes Science Center on Friday to celebrate our friend's birthday.  It was such a fun place!  Here the kids are enjoying the ball pit.  We are going to definitely going to go back with Kaitlyn and Reuben.  We love our zoo pass it has royalties to lots of fun places like this!

Challenge

My quilt guild started a challenge for the year.  We had to come up with a block that was 12-14 inches square and bring it to our next meeting in a paper bag.  This is the block which I did.  Every month the bags with blocks will be passed around to a new person to put on another border around this main block.  This month our task is to put on a four inch border with some kind of corner squares.  We won't be able to see our quilt until June.  I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful!

Cleveland weather has arrived in full style.  It is a beautiful  27 degrees outside with lots of wind and snow.  This weather always makes me want a cup of hot chocolate!  

Turkeys everyone loves to gobble

Reuben walked into the room today reading from a blank paper.  He was reading a poem he "wrote".  This is his attempt to sweet talk his way into getting another turkey (while very cute, it didn't work).

Kristen saw these on a website and decided to make them.  She has been dreaming of ways to make them for the past 4 days and finally sat down with a friend to make them.  After working late into the night/early morning, she finished and we all enjoyed chowing down on them the following day.  I speak for all of us when I say that Kristen is the best.  We are so lucky she loves to do such fun things that we all can enjoy.
