What's for dinner?

Last night I made hamburgers for dinner... I had a normal cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, etc. Reuben had meat mustard and pickles on a bun. Kaitlyn had cheese, ketchup and mustard on her bun. Eve had butter on a bun and that's it. Lincoln stared at his hamburger and eventually I got him a thing of yogurt.

It is such a challenge for me to find meals that everyone in my family likes. Do you have any suggestions?

Here are some cute pictures of Lincoln after his bath the other night. The chair Lincoln is sitting in was mine when I was little. I used to play with my American Girl doll in it and now Kaitlyn plays with her American Girl in the same chair.

Those pictures of Lincoln are darling! I can't believe how big he is getting. I love his hair!

I think finding food that all the kids love will always be a challenge. But you had three of the kids eating something from the meal you had prepared. I think that's awesome! Its a real challenge to find foods that ALL the kids like, well besides pizza :)

Well I just got sort of mean because I was starting to not enjoy cooking and dinnertime...a time that should be a nice together family time. Sooo...I recently started not putting the food on the table. Now I just serve everybody's plate with everything on it...even they've proclaimed to not like it. I keep calm and say this is it until Breakfast. I can honestly say that this week my kids are eating foods they swore they didn't like...mostly because Matt and I have taken a united front and they know we're serious.

He is starting to look more like Reuben.

I've had to adopt the "you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit" mantra. It didn't take long before they just sat down and ate whatever. They don't always finish it, but they always eat.

phew!

We do the 'Polite Bite' rule. They have to try everything... and then I always have at least one thing that I know they will eat with each meal. It's definitely a battle!

Hi I came across your website...gorgeous children! May I suggest bettycrocker.com. My children are almost grown and it's still a challenge to find foods that they both like (my daughter is a picky eater). I found some great recipes on the betty crocker website and I'm now the "Queen of the Casserole Dish" :) Check it out!
