Rapunzel let down your hair

Evie had her hair straightened for the first time!  It makes me do a double take to see her without curls!

Swimming Lessons

Saturday was the last day of the session of swimming lessons for the kids at the Y.  Eve was in a gym and swim class where they did gym for thirty minutes and swam for thirty minutes.  Kaitlyn and Reuben were in swimming together.

Evie at gym.

Reuben and Kaitlyn with their awesome swimming teacher.  Reuben and Kaitlyn had a near drowning experience this last summer.  Kaitlyn seemed to jump back to herself around the water quickly, but Reuben has been pretty nervous.  The first day of lessons he didn't want to get in the water at all but his awesome teacher took the time to help him feel comfortable and actually had a similar experience when he was a child.  Reuben loved his teacher so much he didn't want the session to end.  Hopefully we'll get him next session too!

President's Day

This President's Day my friend Jackie and I took our kids to Lake Farm Park.  They had their "discovery days" going on.  So there were lots of fun things scheduled such as cheese making, sheep shearing, making candles, maple syrup harvesting, and much more.  It was REALLY cold outside that day so the kids lasted for the candle making and we saw how they get the sap for syrup from trees which were both inside.  The kids had a fun time playing in a play room with toys and two model trains to watch too.  This was also Lincoln's birthday!

Happy Birthday Lincoln

Happy Valentines Day!

Someone doorbell ditched these balloons and suckers for the kids.  Lincoln is playing with a balloon as I write this post!  There aren't very many things that are better than a balloon at this age!!

February 13th

Yesterday started off with Kaitlyn waking up super early because she was so excited that her field trip was that day.  She had been anticipating it all week!  The play was awesome!  The play we saw was Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters.  It was so fun to be able to go with her class and see how excited the kids were!  The way back to school they were singing some of the songs from the play.

We topped off the day with a date to the Melting Pot.  Words cannot describe the goodness that we had there.  It was definitely a treat to be able to go.  Ryan and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary of when he proposed to me and Valentines.  I can't believe that ten years has flown by!  I feel so blessed to be married to my prince charming and look forward to many more years!  Our wonderful friends Stacy and Matt joined us for dinner.  We look forward to our monthly date nights with them!!

When I grow up

Kaitlyn: I asked Evie what she wants to be and she said a doctor.

Evie (very concerned): I don't want to be a doctor, I want to be a princess.

Mailboxes

Target had these awesome plain mailboxes in the dollar spot.  My friend Tanya and I decided to get crafty and decorated them.  You'll have to check out her blog for when she posts pictures of hers.  They are super cute!

I filled them with Valentine wrapped kisses.

Racquetball

Today Ryan and I went to the Y (YMCA) and played racquetball.  It's a first for me.  It was so fun!  We had lots of laughs and got a little exercise too!  Hopefully we'll be able to go again soon!
