Block Party

On Saturday we had our first annual block party.  It was convenient that one of our neighbors is a D.J.  The kids had a fun time playing with some music toys.  One little boy even sang us a couple of songs.  It was really cute.

I guess in our small town you can have the fire truck come to your block party.  The kids had a fun time exploring in the fire truck.

Mad Hatter Tea Party

For Kaitlyn's birthday party this year we had a Mad Hatter Tea Party.  When each girl arrived they fished for their hat.  Ryan was behind the sheet passing out the hats.  He wore this crab hat for the whole party.  The girls ended up calling him Mr.Crabs for the day.

Only in Cleveland

I drove past this sign yesterday just down the street from us.  I just had to take a picture!

I love this guy!  I have had complete strangers come up to me and ask if they can pinch his cheeks or chubby thighs!  It makes me SO sad that he is growing up way too fast!

First Time Eating Solid Food

August 8th Lincoln had rice cereal for the first time.  He seemed to really like it!

First Haircut!

Evie had this pouty expression the whole time during her haircut.  She really had a fun time, so her expression kept on cracking us up!

Here's the new do!

The cutie pa-tooties!

I am a little behind on posting... Eve had her first haircut on August 5th.  Our good friend in our ward is a stylist.  She did an awesome job!  Kaitlyn had her haircut again right after Evie.  It was a fun girlie evening!

Last Day of Bowling

Yesterday was the last day on my bowling league.  Yes, as Ryan says I am "a bowling dork".  He said this as I got so excited that I bowled good that day.  I am usually lucky if I get over a hundred this year.  But when the stars align it is quite exciting to bowl good! :)  We bowled the end of May till now on Thursday mornings.  This is my second year bowling on the league, hopefully I'll be able to do it again!

Here are some of my bowling buddies.  Carol and Cindi, Julie and Me.  Julie is my bowling partner.

Makeover Gone Bad!

Kaitlyn had her friend spend the night tonight and they really wanted to do makeovers.  It sounded fun...they were doing pretty good and then they went crazy!

Concert on the Lake

You can't see in the picture but from our blanket you can see the lake.  It was such a beautiful clear night.

This picture does not give the lake justice.  It looked so much better in life!

On Sundays they have free concerts on the lake.  We try to make it to at least a couple every summer.  Last night was the last concert for the summer :(.  It was a fun and relaxing night.  Maybe we'll stay up a few more times before school starts to see the sunset on the lake!

Garage Sale

Thursday, Friday and Saturday we had a garage sale.  This is not all my stuff but my neighbor and her Mom brought lots of things to sell as well and put them in our garage.  Other homes on our street joined in, in the garage sale fun.  My neighbor Jackie and I had put flyers on everyone's door on our street saying that anyone who wanted to participate to let us know.  We had 10+ homes participate.  It was great for everyone and we had a lot of traffic!

Kaitlyn and Reuben sold bracelets they made and lemonade.  The second day they sold banana muffins I had made.
