Jammin' to the Blues

We finally loaded our video camera to the computer.  Here is one of our favorites.   A little jam session with Evie and Linc.

Cleveland Rocks!

This weekend our girl scout troop went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. It was my first time visiting. It was a lot of fun! My only regret was that we couldn't spend more time there. The girls were told about women in Rock and Roll history. I guess only 9% of the inductees are women. I thought that was really interesting and makes sense because the artist has to have been in the music industry for at least 25 years. Then we had a guided tour of the museum which was fun. I could have spent more time there. Next the girls did some crafts. They are all sporting their ponytail holders they made in the picture below. The R&R Hall had a D.J. set up for the day as well because it was girl scout day at the R&R Hall. The girls all had a fun time. It did not disappoint.

30

Here's the last ten years in thirty pictures...

I am missing a couple of years since we didn't have a digital camera for the first couple of years.
I don't have pictures of Kaitlyn's birth on the computer or our first anniversary.

Party

The birthday girls

My parents surprised me and came up for the party! I just love them! I look forward to the day when we can live even closer.

Carrie and Me

On Friday night my wonderful husband threw me and two of my close friends a birthday party. It was a decades party since my two friends turn 40 this month and I turn 30. I love those ladies! I feel so blessed to have them as friends. Ryan put together music from the 80's and 90's to play in the background. The kids had a blast playing the Wii projected up on the wall and running around the gym. Lincoln had a fun time making sure all that played corn hole threw their bean bags in the hole every time. The rest of us had a fun time just chatting and munching on all the goodies.

Snow

I just have to say that I love the snow. Today we took the "long way" home from church. The trees were breath taking with snow on each branch and the fields were so beautiful with clean white snow. I love it.

I have always loved Ansel Adams photographs and living here makes me feel like I am in one sometimes. I love this time of year! The photograph above is taken by Ansel.

What's for dinner?

Last night I made hamburgers for dinner... I had a normal cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, etc. Reuben had meat mustard and pickles on a bun. Kaitlyn had cheese, ketchup and mustard on her bun. Eve had butter on a bun and that's it. Lincoln stared at his hamburger and eventually I got him a thing of yogurt.

It is such a challenge for me to find meals that everyone in my family likes. Do you have any suggestions?

Here are some cute pictures of Lincoln after his bath the other night. The chair Lincoln is sitting in was mine when I was little. I used to play with my American Girl doll in it and now Kaitlyn plays with her American Girl in the same chair.

Hutch

This year we caught a bit of the garage sale bug.  It started when we found this gem for only $35.00.

It had the style that we wanted in a hutch so we bought it and got to work.

We had to remove the back panels and replace them with the new bead board.  After some priming and a whole can of paint we got the result we were looking for.  (Pardon the pictures, the lighting in our dining area is awful, it gives it an orange overtone, the real color is a barn red).
