Hutch

This year we caught a bit of the garage sale bug.  It started when we found this gem for only $35.00.

It had the style that we wanted in a hutch so we bought it and got to work.

We had to remove the back panels and replace them with the new bead board.  After some priming and a whole can of paint we got the result we were looking for.  (Pardon the pictures, the lighting in our dining area is awful, it gives it an orange overtone, the real color is a barn red).

I still remember this, I just wish I had a husband who could catch the dream with me, he hates garage sales

It looks super cute! Hey, do you guys have a weekend this month that you want to come and hang out? I thought maybe we could just get pizza and have a kid movie downstairs and adult movie upstairs and/or just hang out and talk. Our budget is a little stretched so hiring a baby-sitter at the beginning of the semester is probably not wise. :)

Its beautiful Kristen! Good job!!! You are so creative and talented. I love how you improve and beautify everything around you! Not to mention, I'm impressed that you replaced the boards and refinished everything yourself. It looks like it was a lot of work but it was worth it. It rings Pottery Barn to me. Well done! :)

I love it, that and the fact that your bug continued on to my house and got me a newly refinished dresser turned into a sideboard! You're the best!

I know I've told you before, but I LOVE YOUR HUTCH! The red is the *perfect* color red, and you guys did SUCH a good job refinishing and choosing really cute pulls and knobs. Way to go! We should go "garage sale-ing" together this year! :D
