Memorial Day Parade

I love that we live in a small town for reasons like this.  Kaitlyn and Reuben were in the town parade on Memorial Day with their baseball teams.

Lincoln was super cute.  He never went farther in the street than this.  He just stood there and soaked in everything.  Lincoln was dancing to the music when it passed by.  I wish that I had brought a video camera!

Cheering from the sidelines

Eve and Evan had fun picking up candy from people throwing it in the parade.

We were so lucky to go to the parade with our wonderful friends/neighbors!

Summer Haircuts

Reuben LOVES to be bald.   He begs us to shave his head.  Being the mean mother that I am we let him do it once a year.  (Since winter lasts at least six month's of the year here and has negative degree weather more than not, having some hair sounds like a good idea)  So after dinner I shaved his head and gave Linc a trim too!

Third Grade Concert

Kaitlyn had her third grade concert last night!  The theme was "Lights, Camera, Action!"  They sang the theme from Sponge Bob Squarepants, Hot Chocolate from Polar Express, The Candyman, and more.  It was really cute and the kids did a great job!  Kaitlyn has been looking forward to it for over a month, so it was really exciting for her!!

Teacher Birthday

Today we celebrated Kaitlyn's Teacher's birthday .  It really isn't until August but we celebrated it today since she has a summer birthday.  A wonderful mom in the class pulled it all together.  Each of the kids had a letter, which all put together spelled "Happy Birthday Mrs. Thomas".  Each of the kids was assigned their letter in advance and was asked to think of things about Mrs. Thomas which started with their letter.  They all said them out loud.  It was really fun!

I made some cupcakes for the class.  What is a birthday party without cake??!

Evie decorated some graham crackers.

Her beautiful masterpiece!

I cannot express how much I love this Man!!  On Saturday I was sitting in the family room and Ryan walked in with a bouquet of flowers!  He had been gone for a month which is the longest we've been apart for over ten years.(He was in Texas for a externship, Thank you to the wonderful Nelson's who took care of my husband down there!)  I had no idea that he was coming home then!  I feel so lucky to be married to my best friend!

Free Comic Book Day!

May 2nd was Free Comic Book day!  We went to our local comic book store and the kids loaded up on free comic books. We were excited to see some of our favorite's in real life!  The kids have been reading their comics nonstop since our trip to the store and have started to write their own.  Some of Kaitlyn's characters include pie guy and Reuben's are a bunch of rocks that talk.
